We are delighted to introduce Carl Sterner as our new Sales Director. With a solid background in sales and leadership, Carl now takes over with a clear vision – to strengthen IBECO's position and meet the challenges facing the water and wastewater sector.
Carl is joining an industry that is currently facing extensive change. Ageing infrastructure, increasing environmental requirements, a focus on sustainability and the consequences of climate change all call for new solutions and innovative thinking. Carl sees this as a unique opportunity to contribute to our continued development.
- We're facing a time where innovation and adaptation are crucial. I see enormous potential in the water and wastewater sector and I'm convinced that we at IBECO can continue to play a leading role in this transformation. A key part of this strategy is close collaboration with all our stakeholders. Our previous Sales Director, Andreas Carlberg, who has now stepped into the role of Head of Business Development, will play a central part in this work. By working together with us in the sales team, our end customers, suppliers and other partners, he will help us further improve quality and strengthen our offering, he says.
What attracted Carl to working for IBECO and in the water and wastewater sector is clear:
- Water is the foundation of all life, which makes the water and wastewater sector hugely exciting, especially now that the industry is facing a major technological shift. With enormous investment needs and great potential, it's an exciting time to be part of it. The Uniwater group's growth journey and high ambitions were also appealing – here, we know where we're going and we want to move forward, he explains. Working in the water and wastewater sector is incredibly rewarding, not least because we're dealing with critical infrastructure that's often taken for granted. It feels meaningful to contribute to sustainable solutions for our water resources.
Carl has extensive experience as a sales director in various industries, where he has successfully led teams through major change processes and developed effective sales strategies. His ability to build outstanding, collaborative teams, whilst ensuring high quality throughout the sales process, will be invaluable to us.
- I'm impressed by the results IBECO has achieved, particularly in product development and the close collaboration with our customers, partners and suppliers. With our strong market position, I see a bright future where we continue to renew our offering and strengthen collaboration to further raise quality, he says.
IBECO has always strived to be at the forefront when it comes to technology and sustainability, and Carl is determined to continue this tradition.
- I'm joining a well-functioning team with established salespeople, and I also get the opportunity to work alongside experienced leaders who have helped build IBECO. My role will be to take over where they have laid the foundation, ensuring we have the tools and resources needed to meet the challenges of the future, so that we can reach the next level in our growth journey, he says.
For Carl, taking on this role is also extra special because he has a personal connection to our company. Having grown up in Borlänge, where our head office is located, he has followed our development closely for many years.
- Having the opportunity to contribute to a company with roots in my home town is something I truly value. It feels particularly meaningful to work for a company that has chosen to keep its central warehouse here in Borlänge. That's important, both for us as a company and for the local community, he concludes.
With Carl Sterner at the helm, we're ready not only to meet the challenges of the future, but to lead the way in the water and wastewater sector. With our outstanding team and an unwavering focus on innovation and sustainability, we're determined to set a new standard. The future doesn't just look bright – it's full of opportunities, and we at IBECO are ready to seize them.
