– establishes branch in Finland

The water and wastewater group Uniwater is now taking the step into the Finnish market. Its subsidiary Ibeco, one of the Nordic region's leading distributors of water, wastewater and plumbing products, has opened a branch in Helsinki. This is an important and long-awaited step in the group's geographical expansion across the Nordics.
Uniwater, a group of specialist companies within water infrastructure, is now broadening its platform in the Nordics by establishing its subsidiary Ibeco in Finland. Ibeco is one of the Nordic region's leading distributors of customer-specific water, wastewater and plumbing products. The company has customers and a supplier network in every Nordic country, making it a natural step to scale up its presence eastward, into Finland.
Carl Berglund, head of business area at Uniwater Products, sees great potential in this geographical expansion. He has been looking forward to the establishment, and is pleased that the structure is now in place, with both staff and premises.
We have wanted to do this for a long time, and now the time is right – we are taking the step fully and establishing ourselves in Finland. We strongly believe in the Finnish market, the investment need is substantial, and there are many similarities with both Sweden and Norway, where we are already active. Now we are building on our experience and scaling up together with local staff, says Carl Berglund.
Ibeco made a soft start this spring by taking part in Finland's largest infrastructure trade fair, Infratech in Jyväskylä, to build contacts and showcase its product range. At the same time, recruitment of key staff was under way, along with the search for the right premises. Ibeco Finland has now moved into its new office and warehouse, in a strategically good location close to one of the main roads and only a quarter of an hour from Helsinki airport.
