Tapping step by step

Tapping means connecting a service pipe to a pressurised main without interrupting supply. Here is the procedure in brief.

Preparations

Check the material and size of the main.
Choose a tapping saddle and adaptor to suit the pipe and service size.
Make sure the work site is safe and that the trench is properly supported.

Procedure

1Montera anborrningssadeln på huvudledningen enligt tillverkarens anvisning.
2Anslut servisventil eller anborrningsadapter på sadeln.
3Anslut anborrningsverktyget och kontrollera täthet.
4Borra genom rörväggen under kontrollerat tryck.
5Dra tillbaka borret, stäng ventilen och koppla in servisledningen.
