Bermad automatic air release valves A71

The A71 is an automatic air release valve for drinking water and seawater that provides effective air release for pressurised pipe systems. During filling, large volumes of air are forced out through the kinetic orifice, and the float only closes once water reaches the valve. During operation, accumulated air is released via the automatic seal, and during draining the valve opens to admit air and prevent a vacuum forming in the pipe. The valve is made of acid-resistant stainless steel and operates at 0.1–16 bar and 1–60 °C. It connects via a male thread and is available in DN20 and DN25. A female thread allows a drain pipe or valve to be fitted, and a surge check or non-return valve for single-acting function can be fitted to the outlet.
