Bermad automatic air valves C75

The C75 is a double-acting automatic air valve for drinking water that both releases and admits air. During filling of the pipeline, large volumes of air are forced out through the kinetic orifice, and the aerodynamic shape of the float prevents it from closing prematurely. In pressurised operation, the automatic seal opens and releases accumulated air, whilst the kinetic orifice admits air during draining and prevents a vacuum forming in the pipe. The valve is made of ductile iron and operates between 0.1 and 16 bar at 1–60°C in pressure class PN 16. It is supplied flanged in DN 80–300 and is available in three outlet configurations, A, B or C. A service port for function testing or a pressure gauge can be added as an option, as can a non-slam pressure equalising valve and a non-return valve fitted on the outlet.
