About the product
The non-return valve is installed in gravity sewers and protects houses and basements against backflow when pressure in the sewer network increases. Type 1 has a single flap that opens for normal outflow and closes automatically on backflow; once the backflow stops, the valve returns to normal flow. The socket/spigot version is available for DN 100, 110, 125 and 160 and connects directly into the pipeline. The valve is unidirectional, so check the arrow on the bonnet and on the valve body to ensure correct flow direction. Install it horizontally; the base can be used as support during installation. Choose an easily accessible location for inspection, either visible or in a floor gully housing or a chamber. An emergency handle allows the flow to be shut off manually if required. No tools are needed to dismantle the valve for cleaning.
