Bermad automatic air valves C30-C

The C30-C is a double-acting air valve for drinking water pipelines, built as a compact valve in ductile iron. While the pipeline is filling, large volumes of air are forced out through the kinetic orifice, and when the water reaches the valve chamber the float rises and closes the orifice. During pressurised operation, the automatic seal releases air that has collected at the top of the valve, and during draining the kinetic orifice is held open so that air flows in and vacuum is avoided. The valve operates between 0.1 and 16 bar at 1–60 °C and connects via male thread R25 or flange. It can be supplemented with a pressure-surge control valve for water hammer protection, a non-return valve for single-acting operation, an extended downward outlet and a service port for function testing.
