About the product
The BlueSeal O-ring is the seal used in BlueSeal restrained compression couplings and is used both for new installations and as a spare part during servicing. The couplings connect PE pressure water systems and are rated for a working pressure of 16 bar in sizes from 16 to 110 mm. The ring is available in NBR and in Viton versions for applications where the medium requires a different rubber grade. Couplings marked with o-ring seal are sealed with an o-ring, whilst other designs are sealed with a pre-lubricated double lip seal. During installation, the pipe end is chamfered and cleaned, the nut is unscrewed to the outermost thread, and the pipe is pushed in to the pipe stop. Tighten the nut and use the appropriate installation tool for the final tightening. Tightening torque is specified per size.
