Manhole cover lifter

The manhole cover lifter is a steel tool for ergonomic lifting of all types of manhole covers. The lifter is rolled on wheels over the manhole cover, after which the magnet is lowered onto the centre of the cover. A lever bar is inserted into the lifter and the cover is lifted straight up with a straight back and bent legs, after which the lifter is turned to the side and the cover is placed next to the manhole. The magnet can lift 500 kg, which means both light and heavy covers can be handled without heavy manual lifting. When refitting, grit is removed before the cover is lowered back into place. The magnet is released by removing the lever bar and lifting the tube above the wheels, which presses a stainless steel round bar down against the cover and the magnet releases immediately.
