Bushings are used to allow greater reduction with Flexseal pipe couplings and reducing pipe couplings. The bushing is a simple EPDM rubber sleeve that is placed around the smaller pipe and builds up its outside diameter so that the coupling's span is sufficient. By combining several different bushings, you can further increase the couplings' reduction, step by step. Each bushing increases the pipe's outside diameter by twice its thickness, for example 32 mm for a bushing with a thickness of 16 mm. The range covers pipe outside diameters from approximately 200 mm up to just over 900 mm, in thicknesses from 16 to 32 mm. The working temperature is -50 °C to +80 °C, and nitrile for chemical resistance as well as other sizes are available on request.
