Fernco donut

The donut is a sealing ring for internal fitting in an existing socket and is used when pipes of different materials and sizes need to be joined in gravity systems, for example sewer systems. It is suitable, amongst other things, as a transition from concrete pipe to plastic pipeline and is available in inside diameter 110 and 160 mm, with different outside diameters for older and newer concrete sockets respectively. The seal is made from the patented elastomer blend Fern-Flex, whose flexibility makes installation easier and provides a secure seal against both infiltration and exfiltration. The material is leak-proof and rot-proof with high resistance to chemicals, ultraviolet radiation, mould and gases in sewer systems. Maximum working temperature is 50 °C and maximum pressure is 0.3 bar.
