Fitted with locking elements and a bead on the pipe's spigot end. Designed for high-pressure applications. Pipes are manufactured with a double-chamber socket; one for normal sealing and one for the locking system. Sealing is provided by the normal push-fit gasket, whilst restraint is provided by a combination of a weld ring and locking plates. Normal push-fit joint gasket is used for sealing. After installation, the sectional locks are fitted into the locking chamber. The weld ring on the pipe's spigot end is thereby locked in place by the locking bars locking plates and resists forces that try to separate the joint. Can be used for trenchless applications.
