The flange adaptor bridges the gap between PN10 flange drilling and 1882 drilling, making it possible to connect a flange with modern PN10 drilling to an older flange drilled to the 1882 standard. The adaptor is an insert component in ductile iron fitted between the two flanges, with a different hole pattern on each side: PN10 facing the new flange and 1882 facing the old one. It is built into the existing pipeline without the need to replace the pipe or valve, making it useful for rebuilding and repairing older water pipe networks. The adaptor is available from DN100 to DN1200, with face-to-face lengths between 20 and 70 mm and bolt sizes from M16 to M36. The design is in accordance with EN 545.
