RFG flange gaskets

RFG is a range of EPDM flange gaskets for sealing flanged joints in water and wastewater pipelines. The range covers DN 32 to DN 900, and the same gasket is used for both PN 10 and PN 16, which simplifies stock holding. Wall thickness follows the size and varies from 3 mm in the smallest sizes up to 6 mm in the largest, giving the gasket the correct resilience against the flange face. During installation, flange faces and bolts must be clean and free from damage. Use a suitable lubricant on the bolts and tighten them diagonally in three steps, 30 per cent, 40 per cent and 30 per cent of the torque, following the recommended tightening pattern. Use a torque wrench and finish with a full circle at full torque. The maximum tightening torque is specified per size and ranges from 40 Nm to 650 Nm.
