About the product

RSG is a flange gasket with steel insert for steel and cast flanges in pressure class PN10/16. The steel insert gives the gasket rigidity, makes it easy to position correctly against the flange face and protects the rubber from being squeezed out during tightening. The seal is EPDM and can also be supplied in NBR, with a hardness of 70 ± 5 Shore A and a working temperature from -25 °C to +120 °C. The range covers sizes from DN 15 up to DN 2000. When installing, flange faces and bolts must be clean and undamaged, and the bolts should be lubricated with a suitable lubricant. Tighten crosswise in three steps, 30% / 40% / 30%, following the recommended tightening pattern with a torque wrench, finishing with a full circle at full torque. Separate torque tables are available for steel/steel and for PE/steel.

- PN10 data (K, bolts) according to Haihao/Hebei for EN 1092-1 PN10; PN16 data according to RoyMech for BS EN 1092-1 PN16. - Torque according to DVS 2210-1 Suppl. 3 (profile seal, µ≈0.15, lubricated threads/bearing surfaces). DN 450 = 65 Nm interpolated; DN > 600 = 100 Nm as an extended guideline value. - The DVS values relate to PE flanges. Always follow the gasket manufacturer's specific instructions if they differ from the table
