Extension rings DN300 are used primarily to raise existing fixed manholes during new installation and renovation. The rings are made from recycled plastic, giving low weight and allowing them to adapt to skewed or uneven concrete surfaces, extending the service life of the manhole structure. The design means they can be combined with other types of extension rings, and the rebated model does not shift relative to one another during transport, installation or after many years in service. During installation, the contact surface is cleaned before a new ring is fitted, and the sealing groove on the top and bottom can be filled with oil-resistant jointing compound where absolute tightness is required. Finish off with an asphalt collar or a thin levelling ring. The rings are rated for loads up to 80 tonnes and are available in several heights, including a skewed model. Note that the manhole frame must not rest on the rebate edge. Use a levelling ring here to even out the load. This also applies when the old model is placed on top of the new type of rebated extension ring.
