Raising rings DN400/DN425 are used mainly to raise existing fixed manholes, both for new installations and renovation work. The rings are available in a wide range of heights and also as a tapered model with tapered wall thickness. Made from recycled plastic, they adapt to uneven or sloping concrete surfaces and are rated for loads up to 80 tonnes. The rebate stops the rings from shifting against each other during transport, installation or after many years in service, and makes fitting easier. Clean the contact surface before fitting a new ring. If absolute tightness is required, fill the sealing groove on the top and bottom with oil-resistant jointing compound as needed. Finish with an asphalt stop or a thin levelling ring. The rings can be reused time after time. Note that the manhole rim must not rest on the rebate edge. Use a levelling ring here to even out the pressure. This also applies when the old model is placed on top of the new type of raising ring with a rebate.
