Riser rings DN640 are mainly used to raise existing fixed manholes during new installations or renovation works. They are available in a large number of heights and also as a skew model. The rings are made from recycled plastic, which allows them to adapt to skewed or uneven concrete surfaces and extends the service life of the whole manhole structure. The rebate prevents the rings from shifting relative to one another during transport, installation or after many years in service, and makes fitting easier. The design means the rings can be combined with other types of riser rings. Clean the contact surface before fitting a new ring and finish with an asphalt seal or a thin levelling ring. The sealing groove on the top and bottom can be filled with oil-resistant jointing compound if complete tightness is required. Note that the manhole cover frame must not rest on the rebate edge. Use a levelling ring here to even out the load. This also applies when the old model is placed on top of the new type of riser ring with a rebate.
