About the product
Gate valve in series 3000 with sockets for direct connection to PVC pipes to EN ISO 1452-2, with full bore giving low flow loss and allowing for cleaning. The blue version with EPDM is used for drinking water and neutral liquids, the reddish-brown version with NBR for wastewater. The valve is built around a ductile iron body with a fully vulcanised wedge and fixed stem nut, and the stem has rolled threads for high strength. Four stem seals give a long service life, and the seal can be replaced whilst the line is pressurised. The valves are available from DN 40 to DN 400 for pipes with outside diameter 50–400 mm, are designed to EN 1074 parts 1 and 2 and EN 1171 for PN16, and operate at 0–70 °C, though not under frost conditions. 15-year guarantee.
