Wall penetration seal standard

The wall penetration seal provides a gas-tight and watertight seal between the media pipe and the protective pipe when casting pipes into concrete. The seal consists of a 40 mm thick EPDM rubber element that is compressed between two stainless steel pressure plates when the bolts are tightened, pressing the rubber against both the pipe and the borehole wall. The extra soft rubber makes the seal gentle even on thin-walled plastic pipes, where a lower tightening torque is used. The seal operates between -55 °C and +204 °C and withstands 5.0 bar, where axial anchoring is required from 3 bar. It is radon-tight.
