Long PE transitions to male thread are used to go from PE pipe to a threaded connection in pressurised systems. The transition has a long PE end that is welded using an electrofusion coupler or butt fusion, giving a sound and tight weld joint, and a thread part in brass for connection to valves, meters and other threaded equipment. The threads are made to EN 10226-1 and the part is rated for PN16 with the pipe end in SDR11. The range covers PE pipe from OD 20 up to OD 125 mm with male threads from R15 to R100, and for OD 40 there are two alternatives so that the same pipe size can be connected to different thread sizes. The long PE end provides ample material for welding and simplifies installation in confined trenches. Other materials can be offered on request.
