PE pipe anchors

PE pipe anchor is a flexible rod that is welded onto PE pipes and locks the pipe axially. It fits all PE pipes in the size range 160-1600 mm and is manufactured in PE 100 (PE4710), giving a permanent fusion joint with the pipe. The anchor is welded with any standard electrofusion machine. During installation, the pipe is cleaned and scraped with a saddle scraper, after which the anchor is strapped tightly around the pipe with tensioning straps before electrofusion welding is carried out. Each anchor is designed and tested for 50 kN (5,000 kg) axial force, and several units are combined to achieve the required pulling force - the number increases with pipe size. In addition to anchoring, it is used to hold, for example, weights in place and for centring pipe within pipe, where it allows the pipe to slide easily inside another pipe.
