Chain Seals TS

Chain seal TS is used to seal penetrations between a media pipe and a casing pipe, or directly between a media pipe and a borehole. The seal consists of interlinked segments in grey silicone rubber that withstands high temperatures, and is available in many sizes for a very wide range of applications. The working temperature range is -55 °C to +204 °C and the maximum pressure is 5.0 bar. During installation the pipe is centred in the casing pipe or borehole, the chain is placed around the pipe with the bolt heads facing you and pushed in until the pressure plates are flush with the edge. The bolts are then tightened alternately with a torque wrench in accordance with the tightening table, after which the rubber expands radially and creates an absolutely air- and watertight seal. Retrofitting is possible, and the seal should be retightened after approximately two hours.
