Long PE end caps SDR11

The long PE end cap is used to terminate and seal a PE pipeline, for example at the end of a line, during phased installation or ahead of a future connection. The end cap is manufactured in PE100 and is injection moulded, giving a homogeneous component with an even wall thickness in the joint zone. It can be welded to the pipe either with an electrofusion coupler or by butt fusion, so it can be used with the same welding method as the rest of the pipeline, giving a fully welded, end-load resistant and tight joint in the PE material. The range covers pipe outside diameters from 20 mm up to 400 mm and is supplied in pressure classes PN16/SDR11 and PN10/SDR17, so the cap can be matched to the wall thickness of the pipe. Each size has a specified insertion depth that determines the weld length during installation.
