Loose bolts, nuts and washers in size M20 are used when a flanged joint is to be bolted together or supplemented, for example on valves and couplings where the bolt length must be matched to the thickness of the joint. The parts are available in two versions: acid-resistant A4 for corrosive environments and galvanised (fzv) for normal installations. The bolts are supplied in several lengths from 80 mm upwards, with strength class 8.8 in the galvanised version. The nut in the acid-resistant version is treated against galling, which makes tightening easier. The washers measure 21x37x3 mm and distribute the tightening force over the flange surface. As the parts are sold loose, bolt, nut and washer can be combined in the same material and the quantity adjusted to the flange's hole pattern.
