BlueSeal nuts

The nut is part of BlueSeal end-load resistant compression couplings and is used in pressurised PE water systems. It is available for pipe sizes from 16 to 110 mm and is included in couplings rated for a working pressure of 16 bar. The nut is made of polypropylene and supplied in blue or black, making it equally useful as a spare part for service work as for completing or rebuilding an existing coupling. During installation, the pipe end is chamfered and cleaned, the nut is unscrewed to the outermost thread, and the pipe is turned in to the pipe stop before the nut is tightened. Final tightening is carried out with the dedicated installation tool, and the recommended tightening torque increases with size, from 7 Nm for 16 mm to 135 Nm for 110 mm.
