The reducer kit allows a BlueSeal restrained compression coupling to be connected to a smaller pipe than the coupling's own size. It is used in PE pressure water systems and is available in combinations from 20 x 25 mm up to 110 x 90 mm, all for a working pressure of 16 bar. The kit is made of polypropylene (PP). Installation requires no special tools for the jointing: chamfer and clean the pipe end, unscrew the nut to the outermost thread and turn the pipe in to the pipe stop. Then tighten the nut and use the designated installation tool for the final tightening. The tightening torque follows the size, from 7 Nm in the smallest sizes up to 135 Nm at 110 mm. The kit is fitted in the coupling together with the nut, spacer ring and seal.
