Steel pipe plugs

Steel pipe plugs are used to seal pipelines within water and wastewater and plumbing and heating applications, but are also found in gas, industrial and energy applications. The design is mechanical: the plug is inserted into the pipe and clamped directly against the pipe wall, which means it can be fitted and removed without cutting into the pipeline. The through-bore allows media or equipment to be connected while the pipe remains sealed, and it is supplied as a male thread R15, R25 or R50 depending on size. Each plug has a stated working range in mm showing the span it can accommodate, and the range covers sizes from DN40 upwards, with variants up to DN800. Maximum pressure varies with size, from 2.07 bar in the smallest sizes to 0.34 bar in the largest.
