Pipe plugs type 345

Pipe plug type 345 is used to block pipes during pressure testing and other work where the pipeline needs to be shut off. The plug is mechanical and seals by means of a rubber ring that expands between two plates when tightened, so that the seal bears against the inside of the pipe. Because the seal is mechanical and does not require compressed air, the plug can remain in place for a very long time with no risk of air leakage. The aluminium construction is designed for high pressures and withstands a maximum pressure of 2.5 bar. The plug has a feed-through with an external R20 connection, which allows pressure testing, measurement or draining without removing the plug. Variants are available for sizes from DN 25 up to DN 700, with clamping ranges matched to the inside diameter of the pipe.
