Rotation scrapers

The surface of PE pipes oxidises when exposed to air, which reduces weldability. Scraping off the outer layer is therefore essential before welding. A mechanical rotation scraper gives even, controlled removal all around the pipe, unlike manual scraping, where the result varies. The tool ensures that the right amount of material is removed – not too much, not too little. Pipes must never be sanded, as sanding damages the material and risks weld defects. For branch connections, scraping tools are available that adapt to the shape and size. The range covers several size intervals, from the smallest pipes at around 20–63 mm up to large sizes at 63–710 mm. The blades are removable and can be replaced separately once the edge is worn.
