About the product
Storm-T is a saddle branch fitting for ribbed plastic pipes of double-wall construction, where a side or branch pipe is to be connected to an existing main sewer pipe. The saddle is available for pipes from DN300 up to DN500–600 with a DN150 branch and accommodates varying wall thicknesses. The body is made of ABS plastic. Installation starts with a 12 mm centre hole, which is drilled out to the correct hole diameter using a hole saw; the hole is then deburred and cleaned. The rubber gasket is folded and pressed in so that it seals against the inside of the pipe, the collar is locked into the saddle body and grips the outside of the pipe, and the lubricated support sleeve is pressed into the body before the branch pipe is connected. The pipe bedding does not need to be disturbed, and only the surface where the saddle is fitted needs to be exposed, giving minimal excavation.
