Joint Seals

The joint seal is used to stop groundwater infiltration in existing pipes and manholes, for example at the joints between concrete rings. Once the inflow stops, capacity is freed up in the pipe network and the amount of clean rainwater led to the treatment plant is reduced. The seal consists of a wide rubber band that is mechanically tensioned on the inside of the pipe or manhole with two expansion bands in stainless steel. The seal is purely mechanical, which means no primers, tapes or chemical products are needed during installation. The design is flexible and accommodates displacement and differences in diameter at the joint, and the seal can be removed and reused. The standard range covers sizes from DN400 up to DN1600, and other sizes can be offered on request.
