Go to old websiteFlange gasket for flanges whose sealing faces are not parallel – continuously variable angular compensation up to 8° seals skewed joints.
The angled gasket is used where the sealing faces of the flanges are not parallel to each other. By splitting the gasket's sealing elements and rotating them into each other, the angle can be set continuously up to 8°, allowing skewed flanged joints to be sealed without rebuilding the pipeline. The gasket is available for sizes from DN 50 up to DN 500 in pressure classes from PN 10 to PN 40, with thicknesses increasing with size. The gasket is made of EPDM in combination with steel and operates between -25 °C and +120 °C. During installation, the flange faces must be clean and free from scratches and burrs. The gasket's IBC shape makes it self-centring. Lubricate the bolts and tighten them crosswise in three steps of 30%, 40% and 30% using a torque wrench, finishing with a full circle at full torque. When connecting to PE flanges, a lower torque is used.
