IBECO Actuators for penstocks
IBECO's penstocks with non-rising stem can be supplied with coded mounting kits for installation and operation via multi-turn actuators or gearboxes. Actuators are driven by an electric motor for remote and automatic control, ideal for integration into SCADA systems. A gearbox reduces the input torque required so that even large gates under pressure can be operated by hand, and can be combined with an actuator to reduce the actuator size. The actuator or gearbox itself is not included in the mounting kit.

About the product
The mounting kit connects the penstock to an F10 actuator or a gearbox. The actuator and gearbox are not included and must be ordered separately. The images show the mounting kit. Fernco specifies that the PSES extension spindle should be checked even with direct mounting – confirm this for each project. Grey fields (≥ 80 Nm) – a gearbox is recommended for safe manual operation. * PS100 cannot be fitted with PSKIT-DM (direct mounting). Larger sizes than DN1000 on request. The torque relates to opening against the stated pressure; if the gate is used in an application where 7 mVp is not required, the actuator can be sized down.
