The valve surface box is placed over the valve extension spindle set in the ground and provides access to the stem when operating the valve. The universal design is intended to fit all valve makes, which means the same surface box can be used regardless of which valve or extension spindle set is already installed on the pipeline. It fits all IBECO valve extension spindle sets and also works with extension spindle sets from other manufacturers. The lid is marked V for water, so that the function of the pipeline can be identified directly at ground level. The surface box is manufactured in ductile iron.
