About the product
Soft-seated gate valve in series 3000 with sockets for direct connection to PVC pipe to EN ISO 1452-2. The valve has a full bore with no recess at the bottom, which reduces the risk of deposits and gives a low pressure drop. It is available in DN 40–400 for pressure class PN16 and operating temperature 0–70 °C (frost-free), and is designed to EN 1074 parts 1 and 2 and EN 1171. The blue version with EPDM is used for drinking water and neutral liquids, the reddish-brown version with NBR for wastewater. The body is in ductile iron and the wedge is fully vulcanised with a fixed stem nut, whilst the stem as standard is in acid-resistant stainless steel with rolled threads for high strength. Four stem seals give a long service life, and the seal can be replaced whilst the pipeline is under pressure. The product is covered by a 15-year guarantee.
