About the product
Hymax Long is a non-restrained pipe coupling for large sizes that joins pipes of different materials and outside diameters in the same joint. The long face-to-face length bridges greater distances, and the lifting eye makes handling easier in the trench. The coupling allows angular deflection of up to ±4 degrees per side. Before installation, clean the pipe contact surfaces and check the outside diameter with the supplied diameter tape to ensure the pipe is within the working range. The minimum insertion depth is 55 mm for DN40–DN300 and 100 mm from DN350 upwards. In larger sizes a split gasket is available, where the outer removable layer can be taken off for a larger working range. Tighten the bolts alternately from the top and finish by hand with a torque wrench to the specified torque. Min. insertion depth (G MIN): DN40-300mm: 55mm DN350-1200mm: 100mm DN1200-1500mm: 150m
