About the product
The end cap is used to terminate and seal pressurised water systems in PE, for example during pressure testing, ahead of future connections, or when a pipeline is to be plugged. It is part of the BlueSeal range for PE pipes, is approved for drinking water and withstands a working pressure of 16 bar. The cap is made of plastic, mainly PP, and seals with a pre-lubricated sealing system consisting of a pre-lubricated double lip seal combined with a gripper ring. Installation is entirely mechanical: the pipe is pushed into the cap, the nut is tightened and the gripper ring locks the pipe whilst the lip seals provide the sealing. This makes installation quick and easy even in confined trenches. The universal design covers several pipe outside diameters within the smaller size ranges, and BlueSeal is available in many variants for the rest of the system.
