About the product
Straight coupling PE male thread is an end-load resistant pressure water coupling for PE pipe with a push-fit connection at one end and a male thread at the other, connecting PE pipe in both SDR11 and SDR17. It replaces electrofusion welding and manual tightening, enabling quick, simple and safe repairs in the field. The coupling has a double lip seal and a specially designed grip ring: when water pressure forces the pipes outwards, the ring grips and secures the seal. The body is made of PP. During installation, the pipe is cut at right angles, the pipe ends are cleaned and chamfered with the appropriate chamfering tool, after which the insertion depth is measured and marked.
