About the product
Branch saddle 45° is used to make a new service connection on an existing gravity sewer without replacing the whole pipeline. The saddle is fitted onto smooth pipes regardless of wall thickness and suits most pipe materials, for example PVC, PE, steel, cast iron, concrete, asbestos cement, GRP and vitrified clay. It is available for mains within approximately 150–380 mm outside diameter with a branch of 110 or 160 mm, and the working range can be extended with extension bands. The saddle is flexible and made of Fern-Flex™ with a mounting band and backing plate that are tightened around the pipe. During installation, check the pipe's outside diameter, clean the surface of soil and corrosion, mark the hole using the branch, and drill approximately 5 mm larger than the marking. Then centre the saddle and tighten the clamps. Maximum working temperature is 50 °C.
