Fernco flexible 45° branch saddle with backing plate

Fernco branch saddles are used to connect a pipe to an existing main in gravity systems. The saddle can be fitted to all types of smooth pipes regardless of wall thickness, such as PVC, PE, steel, cast iron/ductile iron, concrete, asbestos cement, GRP or vitrified clay pipe. As the saddle is clamped on from outside, the main does not need to be cut for installation. The branch is flexible and made from Fern-Flex™, allowing it to follow the shape of the pipe. The version with backing plate is designed for pressures up to 0.5 bar and a working temperature of max 50 °C. The saddle is secured with mounting bands tightened to 13 Nm, and for larger pipe diameters the circumference can be extended with additional bands. The branch is available in a 45° design in several sizes for pipes with an outside diameter up to 600 mm.
