Fernco flexible 90° saddle branch fitting with backing plate

Fernco flexible 90° saddle branch fittings are used to make a new connection to an existing gravity pipe. The saddle can be fitted onto all types of smooth pipes regardless of wall thickness, for example PVC, PE, steel, cast iron/ductile iron, concrete, asbestos cement, GRP and vitrified clay pipes. The flexible saddle piece in Fern-Flex™ moulds itself to the pipe surface, and the mounting bands are tightened around the pipe with a torque of 13 Nm. The built-in backing plate allows the connection to withstand pressure up to 0.5 bar, and the maximum working temperature is 50°C. The saddle is available with two different branch outlets and fits pipes with outside diameters from 160 up to 400 mm. If you need to fit around larger pipes, an extension band is available that increases the outside diameter by 285 mm.
