About the product
The 90° angled coupling in the BlueSeal range is used to change direction in pressurised water systems and connects a PE pipe to a pipe of another material at the universal end. The universal side accepts pipe outside diameters within the ranges 15–21, 21–27 and 27–35 mm, whilst the PE side is available in sizes 20–40 mm. The coupling is mainly manufactured from polypropylene and withstands a working pressure of 16 bar. Sealing is achieved with a patented system featuring a pre-lubricated double lip seal ring and thrust ring, making the coupling restrained without welding or special equipment. During installation, the pipe end is chamfered and cleaned, the nut is loosened and the pipe is turned in to the pipe stop. The nut is then tightened with the dedicated installation tool to the specified torque, which varies according to size.
