About the product
The reducing tee in the BlueSeal range is used to take off a smaller branch from a PE pressure water pipeline, without welding. The coupling is end-load resistant and is available in sizes from 20x16x20 up to 110x90x110 mm, with a working pressure of 16 bar in the smaller sizes and 10 bar in the largest. Sealing is achieved with a patented system using a pre-lubricated double lip seal, which seals immediately as the pipe is inserted. The coupling is made of polypropylene, giving low weight and easy handling on site. Installation is carried out in three steps: chamfer and clean the PE pipe ends, unscrew the nut to the outermost thread, turn the pipe in to the pipe stop and tighten the nut. Final tightening is carried out with the dedicated installation tool according to the specified tightening torques, 7–135 Nm depending on size.
